MUSKOGEE, OKLA. FROM CORNER OF BROADWAY AND SECOND.

nd [ca.1920's?]. Black & white photo postcard panorama of the city of Muskogee, rolled for mailing, addressed and stamped on verso, with promotional text for the city. Some creasing and old tidelines to edges, short split slightly affecting the caption title of the photo, abrasions to upper and lower margins of the right hand side of the panorama, affecting the image of the tallest building visible there. The view shows a wide-angle look down three streets in the city, with pedestrians crossing here and there, cars, a tram, and a horse-drawn cart. Signs on some of the businesses are legible, including Milam Music House, H.G. Rouse Real Estate, Hines Grocers, etc. Text on verso says the city of some 40,000 people is "the metropolis of Eastern Oklahoma," boasting 59.7 miles of paved streets, 104.5 miles of concrete sidewalks, a motorized fire department, and great opportunities for truck farmers, poultrymen, and dairymen.
