Oxford: Printed at Clarendon Press by W. Dawson, T. Bensley, J. Cooke, 1798. 22 cm. Full contemporary red straight-grained morocco, covers panelled and decorated with gilt tooling, flat spine panelled and richly gilt, with gilt title, marbled endpapers. All edges gilt, with a colored painting of Henley Bridge, on Thames hidden under the gilt fore-edges. Previous owner's inscription on front free endpaper: "This was the prayer book of my excellent & invaluable friend Bishop Moss." This may have been Charles Moss (1763-1811), who was Bishop of Oxford from 1807 until his death. A bit of spotting to boards, else a nice copy. Item #59863
