Brooklyn (and other places), NY: 1940-1953. (1) 1940 typed letter from the Rockaway Point Surf Angler's Club to the Hall Line Co. regarding an ad in the club's annual dinner program, with a form; (2) 1940 typed letter from the West End Surf Fishing Club of Long island to the Hall Line Co. soliciting advertising for its monthly bulletin "The Squidder," accompanied by a club form, two carbon copies of letters from the Hall Line Co. in reply, and a copy of the February, 1939, issue of "The Squidder" (4to. 8 pp. Illustrated, ads); (3) Two 1943 autograph letters from Charles Altenkirch on behalf of his company ("Custom Built Fishing Tackle and Supplies") to the Hall Line Co. concerning a shipment of line; (4) 1946 typed letter from the East Islip Anglers and Boating Assn. to the Hall Line Co. seeking a donation toward its upcoming Annual Fishing Contest; (5) 1945 and 1947 typed letters from the Manhasset Bay Sportsmen's Club to the Hall Line Co. concerning donations for its annual fishing tournament, accompanied by a 7-page membership list for the club; (6) 1947 form letter from the Montauk Business Men's Assn. to the Hall Line Co. soliciting a donation for prizes for its annual Montauk Striperstakes, accompanied by a copy of the May 23, 1947 "Salt Water Sportsman" (4to, 20 pp.), a special Striperstakes issue; (7) 1947 typed letter from the Freeport Tuna Club to Hall Line Co. soliciting a prize for its annual prize contest; (8) Three 1947 typed letters from Alfred Greis, Long Island Jobber, Fishing Tackle to Hall Line Co. concerning his handling the Hall lines, with a carbon copy of one Hall Co. reply; (9) 1950 typed letter from the Jones Beach Surf Fishing Club to Hall Line Co. soliciting a donation for a door prize at its annual dinner-dance; (10) 1951 form letter from "Fishing Long Island Waters" seeking advertisment for the periodical, accompanied by two of the periodical's trade cards, and nine issues of the magazine, Vol. 2, No. 4 (April, 1950) to Vol. 4, No. 16 (Oct.-Nov., 1953), a scattered run (each issue 4to, 28 pp., many illustrated stories and ads in each; one issue waterstained).
