The third of three broadsides, depicting views from the Colorado Springs area, issued with the January 1, 1888, issue of the Colorado Springs Gazette. Illustrated newspaper supplement broadside, 35 3/4 x 25 inches, picturing 18 different scenic, commercial and residential views, each framed within a thin-rule border. Images include the Cliff House, the Iron Springs Hotel, the Barker Hotel, "Briarhurst," the residence of Dr. W.A. Bell, Manitou Caverns, the shop of Wm. A. Davis, Druggist, the residence of Jno. Hulbert, "The Mansions," and the Manitou House, all in Manitou Springs; the Opera House, the Water Works, H.T. O'Brien Harness & Trunks, Spaulding House, F.E. Dow Clothing, El Paso Electric Light Works, Perkins Bros. Crockery & Glassware, and the I.O.O.F. Hall in Colorado Springs; and the Colorado Midland Railway Shops in Colorado City. OCLC finds all three of the broadsides issued in the series at two locations (SMU, Harvard). Creased from folding; some breaks and holes along folds, a few closed tears slightly affecting a few of the images. Professionally lined to reinforce fold separations. (7186). Item #59401
