(Washington, DC?): nd [1959?]. Photograph, 10 x 8 inches, an image of a somewhat fresh-faced, gently smiling Nixon in jacket and tie. With Mazo's address label on verso. Mazo (ca. 1920-2007) was a New York Herald Tribune and New York Times correspondent, the author of Richard Nixon: A Political and Personal Portrait, published in 1959. After the 1960 election, Mazo investigated evidence of voter fraud in Chicago and Texas for a series of news articles, but Nixon asked him not to pursue the story.
