Omaha, NE: F.A. Rinehart, Official Photographer; Press of Burkley Printing Co. 1898. Two volumes. Stapled paperwraps (first volume lacking outer wrappers; second volume lacking rear wrapper.) Oblong 8vo., 19 x 27 cm., each with 16 captioned photogravures, printed on rectos only. According to the publisher and photographer F.A. Rinehart, "[f]rom time to time during the Exposition the succeeding parts of the Book of Views will be issued. Each part containing 16 views comprising all of the Exposition buildings and scenes incident to all special days and extraordinary events. The complete series may be bound in one volume at nominal cost." The two volumes present here [one of which is identified as "Part II"] show opening day, June 1, 1898, plus the Nebraska building, Illinois building, Wisconsin Building, and several of the main pavilions, as well as a parade of Col. W.J. Bryan and Regiment--Military Day, the midway, and the "Streets of Cairo." Some age toning to external leaves, but photogravures clean and bright. Item #59315
