Newburyport, [Mass.]: Entered according to Act of Congress by Thomas & Whipple booksellers, nd. Original blue wrappers sewn. 8 x 21 cm.; engraved title page, [16] engraved plates, Ownership signature, "George W. Chaplins Copy Plate 1812" (scattered doodling on covers and endpapers.) Due to a binding error the title page was trimmed, apparently removing the date of publication. OCLC lists three editons. 1803 (1) copy, 1805 (6) copies, 1809 (1) copy [having only 11 plates, probably defective.] Other than the before mentioned defect, curled corners and several toned leaves, a presentable copy. This copy bears the bookplate commissioned by the ephemera collector Bella Landauer for her grandchildren Barbara and Beverly. Item #59201
