8vo. Ink on light blue paper. Four pages, "Our Own Little Church on the first three pages, and an untitled 16-line poem on the fourth. First two lines: "Like a snow white dove it nestles, / In among the trees;" "But most I love this spot, when autumn / Storms have swept the grove; / When brown pine tassels strew the forest / Where I love to rove. / Where hickory nuts come dropping round one / … Now in fancy only can I / Wander in the grove; / See the bridge, the grove, the river / Every spot I love. / That its image is not dimmed / Let the picture prove." Signed at the end "Claudia / New Orleans / Thanksgiving day / 1858." Very good. Folded for mailing. (#5642). Item #59029
