Howes B- 688. Sabin 7177. Clark Old South II 136: "Discusses discovery, settlement, climate, soil, rivers, resources, agriculture, towns, and Indians ... an impartial and careful writer." Not in Thompson. Several small stamps eradicated from title page and interior leaves, a very good copy in an attractive binding. Later brown three-quarter mottled calf, gilt, and cloth, marbled endpapers and edges, gilt title, ornaments, and rules between raised bands on spine. (#5928). Item #58806
