Printed broadsheet, 22 x 8 inches, employing a number of styles and sizes of type, recto with promotional text praising the climate and soil of the northern half of Dakota Territory for its ability to grow No. 1 Hard Spring Wheat, which cannot be produced in the southern half of the territory, and other amenities to life there, verso, with headline "Northern Pacific Country," advertising railroad company land for sale. Apparently not in Graff, Eberstadt, Decker, Soliday, or the Streeter sale. Not recorded on OCLC. Archival repairs to two chips at the head of the broadside which had affected small portions of several letters; archival repair to a clean tear across the middle of the broadside, but a good copy of a rare promotional broadsheet for what was to become North Dakota.
