Howes-481 to 485 (all accounts of sojourns or travels in the United States, most in the South). Howes called Mrs. Royall "this nation's most eminent literary virago and most uncommon scold." A number of contemporary newspaper reviews of this book and other clippings about Royall have been inserted in an envelope affixed to the rear endpaper. Very good copy.
