Philadelphia: A. Finley, n.d. [1825]. Part of Finley's series of "New and Correct Pocket Maps, for Travellers." Folding, hand-colored map, measuring 43 x 54 cm., engraved by J.H. Young, folded into original roan boards, gilt-stamped "U. States" on upper cover (rubbed, some erosion to spine and corners); statistical tables in lower left corner giving population, principal cities and towns, and square mileage for each of the states. A printed note near the bottom of the map expresses the publisher's indebtedness to "the politeness of Major S.H. Long for the use of his documents in the construction of that portion of this map West of the Mississippi River." Cf. Streeter sale 3828 for the 1827 version of this map. Soliday 1350.
