In 1861 a plan to create the new state of Hidalgo out of parts of the state of Mexico was advanced by Federal deputies; this effort was interrupted by the French intervention, but it achieved success after the overthrow of the French and the restoration of the Republic. OCLC locates five copies (Los Angeles County Law, Cal-Berkeley, Library of Congress, Texas-Austin, British Library). Text somewhat browned, but a very good copy.
