The plates illustrate 24 Roman villas, including the Aldobrandini, Borghese, Mattei, Panfili, and Villa Albani, with plans, elevations, and perspective views of the buildings and details of their gardens. Brunet: "Tre-bel ouvrage." Later green quarter-morocco and marbled boards (rubbed, corners and edges bumped), gilt spine title.
