Printed handbill, 9 3/4 x 7 5/8 inches, 11 lines printed in four paragraphs, employing three styles of type, title and author bold, authorizing U.S. Marshals or Chiefs of Police in any city to arrest and imprision anyone engaged in discourageing voluntary enlistments in the U.S. Army; signed in type "Edwin M. Stanton, Secretary of War." Not recorded on OCLC. Mounted at the corners on a sligtly thicker sheet, but very good. Item #53258
