First edition. Inscribed by Whitney to the important American collector Mrs. H.O. Havermeyer at the head of the title page. OCLC locates six copies, three in the United States (Queens College, Art Institute of Chicago, Boston Museum of fine Arts), one in France (Bibliotheque D'Art et D'Archeologie), and one in England (Victoria & Albert Museum).
