Presents two letters from John G. Black, who had just won the Democratic Party nomination for state senator. He offers to run in another primary because of the closeness of the first, wishing to maintain party unity; his letter is datelined "Black's, S.C." The third column is filled with local ads (two from Spartanburg firms, one from the Glenn Springs Hotel).
