Galesburg, IL: Sherman & Adams, attorneys at law, nd [1860]. Printed broadside, 24 x 18 1/2 inches, employing several sizes and styles of type, the head illustrated with three small cuts of military men in uniform, one cavalryman on horseback, and two infantrymen. Sherman & Adams, a Galesburg, Illinois, law firm, offered its services in searching bounty claims for western lands in Illinois, Missouri, and Arkansas, many of which had been sold for taxes, but were redeemable. Named here are 3,000 veterans of the War of 1812, or their heirs, whose bounty claims might be redeemed. OCLC locates two copies (Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library, Clements). Folded (several small breaks at folds, with a few letters lost), some light foxing, minor chips and fraying at the edges. Still a very good copy of a rather crudely printed broadside. (#5104).
