[Northampton, MA?], 1814. Printed broadside, 9 1/2 x 7 3/4 inches, printing three photographs of orders, signed in print "Ebenezer Mattoon, / Major General of the 4th Division of Massachusetts Militia, / I.C. Bates, Aid de Camp." Folded, but very good. Item #37777

The detachment, along with another one from Brig. General Bliss' brigade, were ordered to march to Boston to report of the adjutant general and Maltby, named "by the Commander in Chief to command the elite, or advanced Corps," was also ardered to report to Boston. On the verso of the broadside and both sides of a blank integral leaf, are recorded in manuscript "Brigade Orders" and "Regimental Orders" directing more personnel moves. Not recorded on OCLC.
