Circular No. 6, August 1st, 1884. Single sheet, printed on one side only, measuring 8 1/2 x 11 inches. A list of 22 rules for exhibitors, signed in type by Sam'l. Mullen, Chief of Installation and E.A. Burke, Director General. Accompanied by an illustrated envelope, with images of three of the buildings to be used for display at the exposition, which was to be open Dec. 1st 1884 to May 31st, 1885. Verso of envelope describes the purpose and financing of the exhibition, which was authorized by an Act of Congress, passed Feb. 10, 1883. Broadside has some chipping and short tears at margins & a small hole in text, affecting a few letters. Both the broadside & the envelope have some faint old staining. The envelope was opened at one end so as not to damage the text printed on its verso. The two pieces. Item #36626
