Referred, together with two reports of Committees thereon, to the Committee of Claims, 13th January, 1802. Report made & ordered to be committed to a Committee of the whole House, 27th January, 1802. Stitched sheets (unopened). 8vo.; 18pp. Carr, a native of Anne Arundel County, was a Lieutenant in the third Maryland Regiment, having joined the ranks in 1776, until illness & disease forced him to return home in 1780. He never resigned, but his name was subsequently left off the muster rolls. He is petitioning for compensation for service. Supporting & contrary letters & affidavits accompany the petition. Faint old staining to lower margins, at gutter, else very good. Item #31332
