Lists businesses and individuals in business, by city or town, rated by "pecuniary strength" and "general credit." Seven years after the Civil War and the ratings are generally very low. Ownership signature of Craig Throckmorton, Tuscumbia, Ala. (James Throckmorton, a planter and miller, is listed under Tuscumbia). Not in Owen. The earliest edition noted on OCLC is for 1882 (Alabama Archives & History only). Gilt-stamped black leather (rubbed, spine a bit eroded).
