Edward Gibbon's copy with his small name label "E. Gibbon" affixed to front pastedown. Drayton was "a celebrated poet in the reigns of Queen Elizabeth, King James I, and Charles I." Old calf boards (rubbed), rebacked with the original spine laid down, red morocco spine label. Contemporary bookplate partly removed from pastedown, but a Very good copy. (Item ID: 27534)
